Chris Alexander Alexander On Film 09/23/2021
The movie is an atmospheric, unpretentious down-home horror flick that, more often than not, feels like Meth-fueled remake of Tobe Hooper's 1979 TV movie adaptation of Stephen King's SALEM'S LOT. Go to Full Review

michael h Nov 30 very steady pace. zombie effects definitely a little outdated but fun in places See more margarita b Jun 12 Last quarter spoiled it. Went ridiculously over the top. Less is more. Was good up to then. See more Jeepers C 10/27/2024 What can I say, I like campy 80's horror movies and this has all those requirements covered. Two brothers are traveling through a southern town, where they are dumping toxic materials into the environment. People are getting sick and mutating into toxic zombies who have a killer touch. This movie reminds me of The children alot. The storylines are the same. There isn't any bloody gore, but there were some good bladder effects being used in the movie. Overall, a good, campy, 80's movie to watch with anyone 10 or older. A good starter horror movie for younger viewers. See more 02/12/2020 This movie has potential on paper, but this isn't a book. The budget, the script, the cast and the special effects would work well for a campy low budget horror film, but the direction and pacing is so slow and deliberate it makes it hard to stay engaged. No tension, no suspense, no humor. This movie aimed too high and the talent just wasn't good enough to pull off a serious thought provoking horror film. If they would have aimed for an entertaining movie that made fun of itself and the horror tropes and cliches that they painfully go through this could have been a cult classic. See more 02/05/2019 A rather stupid plot, but so well-made altogether. See more 09/04/2016 Chemical waste from a plant in a small Southern town transforms inhabitants to blood seeking mutants. Stereotypical role for favourite Bo Hopkins while Jennifer Warren is curiously credited for a 'Special Appearance'. Goes on a bit too long and dim lighting often holds proceedings back in the tense moments. See more Read all reviews
