Andrew (Keiynan Lonsdale) has a major problem: He can't stay away from the toxic boyfriend who just dumped him. His meddling friends (Dylan Sprouse and Sarah Hyland) decide to help him by creating "Cristiano," a perfect fake boyfriend on social media. Problem solved, right? Wrong! As Cristiano goes viral and becomes a worldwide sensation, Andrew meets his real-life dream guy, Rafi, a charming restaurant owner. Gay people deserve cheesy romcoms, too. It’s very rare that we see films like this, ones with recognizable stars, raunchy humor, and eye candy to spare; it’s even more rare that both romantic leads are men of color.

This movie is extremely cute. Watching this movie as part of the LGBTQIA+ community I can see some serious themes in this romcom without being a serious movie. One of my favorite LGBTQIA+ movies to date.

My fake boyfriend I feel this movie could have been better, way way better, because the entire story can best be described as Incredulous. The characters are mostly one dimensional, and this isn't on the cast but on the plot they have to work with. It's light-hearted and easygoing if you can forget how Incredulous the premise of the movie is. If you don't watch My Fake Boyfriend, I have to say, you're missing out on nothing.

My fake boyfriend is amazing, it's got the drama the comedy, the twist the Secy moment it's an all in one package and the cast is terrific I would highly recommend but I wish the movie could have been A little bit longer so we could see how kenans character progresses into the future
