Loved this movie. Those who found it slow should have seen it in pandemic shutdown. The actors are all gifted. Has echoes of "Cold Comfort Farm" but not as twee or Pythonesque. Child narrator Fraser is everything Scotland could ask for in a lad, adventurous yet true to his family and place.

Charming, funny, poignant, beautifully filmed in gorgeous Scotland, this wonderful movie tells a nostalgic tale of growing up in highland castle. The cast is superb and does a glorious job of bringing it all alive for us. A great watch!
