While its heart is unquestionably in the right place, My Louisiana Sky is ultimately so superficial, with a moral sense so predictable and yet so unbelievable, that the film is almost condescending. Go to Full Review

I will say that Adam Arkin is nicer behind the camera than in front of it. He directs nice; he acts mean. Go to Full Review

Renee M Dec 2 I did not like the movie I never read the book so I don't know how different the book in the movie is compared to each other but I don't like the movie I just feel like the movie is incomplete it does not have a beginning it has no origin it has no it has it's just it's just a middle middle movie and then it just suddenly ends and there's no afterwards what happens to the parents how are the parents living after the grandmother passed away and what about the aunt what is she end up doing with her why did she end up getting married and what happened to Magnolia then Magnolia end up going back to her town like I just feel like it was just increasingly incomplete and then it would have been one thing to like fast to have tiger and fast forward 10 years later to see what she ends up being later on I just did not like the movie at all like the movie was okay in the beginning but then after when Grandma passed away it just got real incomplete a lot of blanks need to be filled and it just is an incomplete movie and I just feel like there's a lot of holes are missing from some of these stories and whoever the screenplay Rider is get the F in my book because you have an incomplete screenplay and I don't understand how people are rating that movie so higher you must have got to pay for it because if you actually watch the movie you'll be as confused as I was and I watch the movie 20 something years ago and I finally found the movie on Tubi and watched it again and again as the dog watching this movie I don't like it because it's incomplete and I just really feel like it should have been a part two of this movie just to fill in those holes See more Ace R 11/04/2023 Wonderful movie, with a strong message about family values, strength, and love.
