Debut director Stephen Lance makes it all look pretty enough, but the film is so staid, safe and polite it's often just plain dull. If only the film had a real taste for the transgressions it gingerly depicts, it could have been Australia's Blue Velvet.

Mrs Robinson meets Fifty Shades of Grey. A gripping tale of a young Queensland student's encounter with an attractive mother who works in the world of BDSM to make ends meet. If you have any hangups about female dominatrixes then you may not be able to extract the essence of what is an extremely well written, acted and filmed Australian movie.

The film is very interesting and holds you from start to finish. But you don't understand why Maggie allows Charlie to get involved in her life even though he clearly has a constant sick obsession with chasing her.

An unfinished fairy tale. It could have been very good, but really needed much more work. Curious, clumsy, and thankfully never quite inappropriate. Not as morose as much Australian cinema is, but does have a go at times.

Big disappointment, half cooked, stupidly confused and incomplete screenplay. Great beginning and but clichéd ending. It could be really a great, revolutionary and refreshing flick but sadly it turned out to be stupidly sober, social and back to socially controlled leash. Again a big disappointment. :(
