Visually lovely in a Wes Anderson way but the subject matter cannot bear the weight of the duration of the film. 45 minutes would have been more than enough to tell this particular story which becomes more hagiography/music video than documentary at times.

Beautiful enough to make someone help me, who grew up in the prairies and hated it, have a new appreciation for them and all things Alberta. Rae Spoon's voice seems to fit the prairies like a glove, capturing its loneliness and yet also its strange sense of comfort.
