Hunter (Laurence Fox) finds himself doing all the wrong things in all the wrong places with all the wrong people, when he meets a young naïve stripper. Grace Anderson (Emma Gojkovic) doesn’t know much about politics, but gets a crash course as she gets closer and closer to the son of President Biden (John James). "My Son Hunter" puts the lens squarely on Hunter, his corrupt business dealings, his relationship with his father, and a lifestyle that would make rock stars jealous. But through the haze of a crack pipe and above the din of the parties and the outbursts...somewhere lies the truth.

Charles Bramesco Guardian Writing critically about a film like My Son Hunter feels kind of like sending the kid making fart noises from the back of the class to detention. Sep 7, 2022 Full Review Armond White National Review Make no mistake, McAleer is polemical, but My Son Hunter doesn’t condemn Hunter Biden so much as understand him and the nature of his offense -- thus demonstrating the ultimate form of journalistic scruples. Oct 19, 2022 Full Review Michael Clark Epoch Times It would've been easy for the filmmakers to weaponize, politicize or exploit Hunter’s personal foibles for shock value, but they don’t, mostly because they don’t have to. They figuratively stand back and let Biden’s words and actions speak for themselves. Rated: 5/5 Oct 4, 2022 Full Review Christian Toto HollywoodInToto.com Subversive satire’s most shocking surprise? Laurie S This must be Fox's finest role IMHO. I was intrigued about Joe's presidential pardon for his remaining son. This can't be overturned by anyone. So I thought I'd see this film and was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review HAQ K Not a serious exposè but a very well acted satirical comedy. Refreshingly enjoyable entertainment.. unexpectedly so. 🤣 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/02/24 Full Review Ben J You can always tell the people that just don't want to believe the facts on here. Even when more and more info comes out about it all. Good enough film. We live in a satire filled cesspool.. this does a good job of explaining the two tier justice system.. I hope this opens peoples eyes. I don't have my hope up tho. Critics did give it a better score than I anticipated tho. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review Qivittoq N Good and entertainig. Gina Carano makes this a gem! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review r b It was a better production than I thought it would be. Some parts of the story are very depressing. Sometimes it had some pretty good satire though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review ray j Laurence Fox was great. His portrayal does leave you with a good deal of sympathy for Hunter, despite everything. So though the film has a clear political agenda against the Bidens, it didn't come across as mean spirited towards the protagonist. John James' performance is alright, but he puts very little effort into sounding or acting like Biden. He seemed a lot more alert than Biden himself. Maybe that's just as well, since anything else might have come across as a cheap shot. Most of the rest of the cast, however, acted like they were in a Hallmark movie. The female lead (Emma Gojkovic) delivered every line, no matter what it was about, in a soft, breathy voice like she was in the sex scene in a steamy B thriller. The film had a lot of under-reported news it needed to communicate to the audience. However, the exposition was (more often than not) quite clunky. Still, a lot of the film is tongue in cheek, there are lots of funny parts, and so it made me wonder whether the exposition was deliberately intended to be flat and heavy handed as some kind of joke. I did laugh at the exposition, I just wasn't sure whether I was supposed to. The plot suffered from the fact that there's no real finale for Hunter's character. I wish it had been called "My Dad Brandon", but you can't have everything. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
