Cade C @Cade32X Jan 9 Dan Gutman's hilarious chapter book series comes to life in an out-of-this-world action-comedy from director Jonathan Judge. Although it does take MANY creative liberties, it captures the spirit of the series by delivering a relatable middle school story combined with a high-stakes alien invasion flick. It never feels cheap at all, almost making me wonder what it would be like had this been sent to theaters. The character performances were by far the best in any TV movie, particularly Hero Hunter as AJ and Adam Rose as Mr. Small, the wacky gym teacher. Nikhil Seetharam's score highlights the antics of these 3 kids trying to free their teachers from being possessed by alien flies harvesting their misery. All in all, My Weird School joins Harriet the Spy and Good Burger as one of the greatest Nickelodeon Movies productions.
