Audience Member Sensitive movie about a relationship in the post-war Bosnia and the life impacting decisions that the woman and the man have to take in the development of their lifes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member "Na Putu" a very disappointing movie from the acclaimed director Jasmila (Grbavica). The movie is chaotic at best with excessive hemorrhaging on late blooming of feminism. Which is a contrast or even the antithesis of the main character. The movie tries to portray rebirth of feminism and rise of individualism in war torn Bosnia . But the first 60-odd minutes of the movie take great pain to portray this negatively via the main character. My main grouse with this movie is the portrayal and development characters . Even before radicalization the main character's love interest was screaming loser in any culture but sadly the main character realizes it 70-odd minutes later This movie makes you wonder is this the same Jasmila, who gave us Grbavica or was Grbavica a one hit wonder . Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member "On the Path" is an interesting and empowering look at one relationship's resilience to change. The two lead characters are both affected by the Bosnian War, with Luna being affected through the murder of her family and being forced to flee her home, while Amar was a soldier who lost his brother in an unspecified heroic act. Years later, as they reach a crossroads, Amar turns towards fundamentalist Islam, driving away Luna with his new views on marriage, women, alcohol and religion itself. This isn't so much a critique of Islam itself, although the Muslim faith is attacked ruthlessly towards the end of the film, but more a look at viewpoints colliding. The two leads were beautifully acted, and the emotion was very raw. A very good European film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Not as good as Zbanic's first film, Grbavica, but still worth a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A film that offers some interesting ideas about religion (Islam) and feminism. At times it feels like a passionate outcry against religious extremism. However, it takes to long to get to that point. The first half of the movie drags along as an unrealistic relationship blossoms. The movie doesn't get good until the core relationship deteriorates. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Great acting but the story is unbelieveably boring. I don't have idea why I spent 90 minutes of my time watching this movie.
