j F It was good, Cooper's acting was a little bit too suspicious though, and the wife, Deborah Kerr was a bit too whiney, but an interesting murder mystery. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review william k Psychological thriller has some good Noir cinematography, but its narrative is full of loopholes and unnecessary twists so that its suspense is limited. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Poor Coop. What a terrible end to a stellar career . Maybe he was sick , or something ; his wooden performance not helped by a painfully bad screenplay , that none of the rather marvellous supporting actors could make work. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a classic but not as bad as its reputation indicates. Everyone has made better films though. Hermione Gingold is a delight in her too short screen time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member ***Due to the recent RT changes that have basically ruined my past reviews, I am mostly only giving a rating rather than a full review.*** Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie should've titled "suspicious" and starring Joan Fontaine. oh wait... :D Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Isabel Quigly The Spectator A kind of Hitchcock parody, with even the Hitchcockian publicity stunts about not giving away the ending and tricks of Hitch-style surprise, such as a bead of sweat in close-up-and, quite simply, no talent. Sep 26, 2020 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Scripted by Joseph Stefano (better known for Hitchcock's Psycho), this mildly engaging suspense thriller became Gary Cooper's final film, released posthumously.
