Peter Bradshaw Guardian It really is a strange film, converting this odd “talking mongoose” case into … what exactly? Rated: 2/5 Nov 9, 2023 Full Review Nell Minow RogerEbert.com There is a lovely, timeless quality to the world production designer Andrew Holden-Stokes and cinematographer Sara Deane have created. Rated: 3/4 Sep 1, 2023 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety The sort of curio that sounds delightful … then just sits there, never quite arriving at a cohering narrative or tonal perspective on its peculiar subject. Aug 30, 2023 Full Review Victoria Luxford City AM Quirky rather than spooky, this light-hearted film doesn’t go anywhere profound, but the meandering mystery is fun when spent in this company. Rated: 3/5 Oct 23, 2023 Full Review Jayne Nelson Radio Times What we get is a languid, woolly story that doesn't seem to have a point or a reason to be told. Rated: 2/5 Oct 16, 2023 Full Review Rubén Rosario MiamiArtZine Nandor Fodor may not work all the time, and its payoff is awfully muted, but it is also the kind of acquired taste that comes along all too seldom. In other words, this is the good kind of weird. Oct 2, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Sheryl L We were looking for a sweet and gentle story, but this one went nowhere. There was no conclusion. What was the point? It was nice to see so many familiar faces, especially British, in the cast, but the script gave them nothing to work with. I was not impressed with the roasting of the director at the end. It just added to the unsatisfactory taste in my mouth for the production. A film without direction or a good edit. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review Micah Wonderful acting by the cast. Interesting storyline and concept. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review Ben S Definitely not the typical modern movie. More of an artsy independent movie that was VERY well done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review Peter Genovese My first reaction after first hearing the title of the movie was that it was some weird silly thing but within minutes of watching it, I was wow'ed! There were amazing performances by Simon Pegg, Minnie Driver, and Christopher Lloyd as well as the some fantastic acting by the rest of the supporting cast. The cinematography was beautiful, the pacing of the movie we excellent and kept you intrigued throughout, and the beautifully sculpted soundtrack evoked emotion where it was needed. All of these elements were brought together by the talented Director, Adam Sigal, who left us with a thought provoking story, based on actual events, of what is real vs imaginative. The end pulls you in and really makes you think about what is important in your life and what may or may not come, afterward. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/03/23 Full Review Debra P Wildly funny & very satisfying silly. Appropriately, the final wrap up was inconclusive & resolved nothing! A great treat — be prepared to take it with a large grano salis! Highly recommended! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/03/23 Full Review Rebecca A thought provoking, original movie with a stellar cast. This is a story about much more than a (possibly) talking mongoose, and it left me pondering, laughing, and maybe even believing. Definitely worth the watch - dont miss this one!
