Audience Member A must see movie 5/5. I love the actors, the creatures and everything! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/24 Full Review nick s The models were a reasonable effort for the day, but not much else about this clunker is worth talking about. A lot of dialogue between characters at the start was really directed at the audience. It was hard to watch. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Audience Member It's a long way from Earth to Mars, and it's even longer from Battle Beyond the Sun to The Godfather, but Roger Corman got his then young protégé Francis Ford Coppola to re-edit and dub a cheap Russian B-pic and the result is this incredibly tedious and incoherent exploiter, which is additionally very poorly photographed and edited. There's a reason Coppola never mentions this mess. Avoid. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review william k A probably good Soviet sci-fi movie with impressive special effects is botched (by Francis Ford Coppola!) into a an apolitical space race with some ridiculously hideous monsters added in for more commercial potential, obviously. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member At least not Oliver Stone movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Slow moving plot, but fortunately a short run-time. There are some fun sci-fi moments in it, and neat outer space sets, but they're still pretty campy. Not a lot happens in the film, at least not a lot to hold thrills or interests.
