Neeyat is a very inferior imitation of movies based on Agatha Christie novels. Most of the acting performances are cringeworthy and not credible. It's also fairly easy to figure out the killer's motive, even with all the plot distractions.

Concept was interesting, a few loop holes in the story telling and the story does tend to over run, could have been the lack of taut editing. Somehow, there is no gripping sense of thrill or pending doom or mystery to the whole thing. It then struck me that this was sort of like a rip off of the Glass Onion : The Knives Out. Billionaire : Check, Party at remote island : Check, Assorted Hangers On : Check. Add in some flavour of the current furore over bringing to justice, the assorted billionaires who have fled after 'failed' ventures and voila, there is Neeyat. Among the actors, Vidya Balan at least tries to carry the movie, in parts succesful.
