James B Evans Starburst The final result is often a bit scrappy, and the restrictions Taylor and co worked within all too evident, but he should be congratulated for making a fun bit of nonsense that, if you get it and those numerous references, will most likely make you smile. terry w I expected this movie to be a low-budget, annoying, cheesy, sci-fi adventure. It wasn't annoying at all. Actors, special effects, stunts, puppets, costumes, sets, all of it... not annoying. The script and plot were questionable at times, but I chose to find them amusing. The gore was blurred out on the broadcast version I saw, so I can't judge that aspect. It's a surprisingly competent film all around. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is amazing. It knows exactly what it wanted to do, and pulled it off beautifully. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie 100%recommended to everyone Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Neil Stryker and the Tyrant of Time was on the cinematic gems that I saw at the Sci Fi London film festival held at the Stratford Picture House in London. And I was so glad I had the chance to see this movie as I had so much fun watching it. It is a film that is utterly insane and bonkers but at the same time utterly witty and brilliant. The team behind the movie spent years putting this movie together and I am so glad they did. Go and see this movie you will not regret it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member An adventure packed-genre-slam-fest with many awesome nods to such films as Army of Darkness, Dark Crystal, Blade Runner and many more. This film delivers on many levels- guarenteed to entertain the most cynical of movie goers. The masterful use of practical affects as well as CGI made this fun to watch and rewatch! Highly recommended! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Years in the making and a prequel to one of Taylor's earlier outings, Neil Stryker is a nonsensical, fun, SF romp. Featuring Hollywood stalwarts David Ogden Stiers and Walter Koenig, the plot is straigtforwardly silly. Taylor does respectable double duty as Stryker and his antagonist. While low budget, the film leaves you with a smile, and is a pleasant heartening back to the style of early Troma, though with a little more sophistication and humor. Fantastic Planet Independent Spirit Award Winner at 'A Night Of Horror International Film Festival' (Australia) in 2016. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
