kevin c Went into this thinking the worst. And while it's a blatant rip-off of Fright Night except with a werewolf protagonist instead of a vampire, the familiarity of the fright night movie just made me enjoy this that much more. Nina Dobrev stars as she becomes suspicious of her new neighbor played by Peter Stebbings. Kevin Sorbo is the comic relief in what would be the Roddy McDowell role, as a reality tv big game Hunter. Absolutely nothing original in this, but when they plagiarize something as good as Fright Night, it can't be too bad. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I like nina dobrev and I like this movie 3 stars Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved this movie!! So much intensity. You never know what's going to happen next. There is really great forshadowing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I can't believe I watched all this. It's not scary, the graphics sucked, and the acting was pretty bad. Average movies (like The Last Exorcism, Deadline, and Quarantine) have either intense, bloody, or scary stuff happening like every 5 to 10 minutes, but this only had that stuff at like the end, and it still wasn't that good. It was on SyFy, and everything on there usually sucks. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun horror with good creature effects that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's hard not to notice similarities to Fright Night, but how is that a bad thing? I'll take another one like this over an awful torture porn/found footage/home invasion trendhopper any day. Never Cry Werewolf is a throwback to a time when horror was actually meant to be entertainment instead of audience abuse. We could use more movies like this.
