Sean C Truly horrific. Not in a scary film kind of a way, but rather the acting, plot (or complete lack of it), camera work, basically everything. I’d say it’s laughable but watching the film just gave me a deep sense of despair, like my life had gone in a horribly disappointing direction leading me to question my choices and ask myself why I was still giving it any of my time. It was almost fascinating in a why-does-this-film-even-exist kind of way. I’ve seen some terrible films, and this is way up (down?) there with the worst of them. Don’t watch it unless you have some seriously weird masochistic tendencies. There are no redeeming features. None. Who were the kids at the start? No idea. Why were they there? No idea. What happened to them? No idea. Why were the main cast trying to put on a party having never been to the place before? No idea. Why would the building be changing? No idea. What had the kids got to do with the oh-so-scary goings on? No idea. What does the dodgy wiring mean for the cast and anyone who ventures into the building in the future? Who cares? Seriously, the flimsiest basis for a plot I’ve ever seen, it seems the whole film was written around the ‘twist’ ending (that’s not actually a surprise anyway), with no understanding of how to create tension, atmosphere or any interest in where the film is going. Everybody involved in the making of this film should take a good hard look at themselves and pray for forgiveness. They should all take themselves to the naughty step and stay there for a very long time. Truly awful. Half a star was the lowest I could give it, and that is being generous. With four experimented Friends, and With a lot of beers, this is an amazing gem. They tried hard to simulate other psychological/supernatural movies but failed miserably - throwing in bad acting & really annoying facial expressions. Give this one a miss!
