05/12/2014 another good example of the type of melodramas hollywood cranked out in the '30's. See more 02/24/2014 It's an interesting looking film, but it's rather on the slow side, and it doesn't have the most entertaining characters. But there are some neat moments, some classy film styles, and an overall satisfying ending. See more 03/28/2011 5.5/10. Reasonably good production, fine costumes. It's a little too talky, and it's not bad, but I didn't always stay interested. It's okay. Nothing great. See more 09/05/2010 This movie is okay, it's not great, but I sort of liked it. See more 11/12/2008 Grossly overacted, almost campy, but interesting tale of an evil prison warden, the woman he loves, and the "other man" who has been exiled to Australia. Worth seeing for its historical value. See more Read all reviews
