Although the story is a little weak and the monster is not really scary (in one scene, you can see the actor's ear sticking out of the costume), it was filmed pretty well and the acting was really good. I appreciate that it is void of the typical horror movie unnecessary ploys like bad language, objectification of female characters, and a foolish "funny" guy. It was just a pretty good movie that I would recommend and watch again. It has a air of realness and these actors- they are great! A supernatural element is thrown in for good measure. A local legend called Never Never Knock started in 1986 with several kids meeting a deadly fate at an abandoned house. 30 years later a group of friends during this particular night go to a house and play a game of knock knock. What they don't know is that an evil presence resides in the door making their worst fears come alive and consume them. How will they survive the night and break the curse? Each of their phobias from bugs to self mutilation to blood Jodelle Ferland and Lola Flanery of '100' fame are the most recognizable stars here. It's kinda refreshing that this group is mostly composed of women and just 1 guy friend showing that it doesn't have to be just one gender to confront a supernatural force. This creature in here looks messed up I gotta give em that able to take shape of what these kids are afraid of.
