Alonso Duralde The Advocate The distinctive-looking Vilches inhabits the role so completely, you’d never guess that he’s never acted in a movie before. Also terrific are the supporting performances, all the way down the line, and the gorgeous, sunny cinematography. Audience Member I'd love to make it 4/5 but the acting is not too solid Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member An almost brilliant, deftly artistic, and raw look at the more unexposed parts of teen coming-of-age. It doesn't use the sex as an attention getter, and it's all done so tastefully, beautifully, and most importantly: dramatically. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Of the many gay movies I've seen lately, this Spanish one felt the most "real" to me. It's about two 17 year old boys exploring their sexuality, one of them being hetero- and one of them being homo-. It explores how confusing and difficult it can be when the lines between friendship and sex blur. I'm sure it's something many adolescents can relate to when they're trying to figure themselves out. It's hard for me to describe this without regurgitating what other critics have already said about this film. I'll just say it's a refreshing take that doesn't engage in stereotypes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting "coming of age" story. Does I good job of showing the struggles of coming to terms with your sexuality. The struggle between exploring your true feelings and coming to terms with your feelings based on that exploration and simply doing what "society" expects of you to spite what you amy or may not be feeling. And more importantly it shows just how ridiculous it is to think that you have it all figured out based on one or two (early) experiences in life and how important it is to be open and honest with yourself and those who are close to you about what feels right for you. Sadly, the film ends on a rather flat and incomplete note - but for the most part it was rather touching. (No pun intended!) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member -pighead-son of a bitch-queer- Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie was good, if not a little awkward. I can't say too much for this except it has good acting and script. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
