Fraternal twins Spencer and Sarah Moss embark on a pilgrimage to a remote Vermont inn to investigate the last known whereabouts of their father who mysteriously disappeared the night they were born. Plays wonderfully into the mood of other haunted hotel films (it leans more to The Innkeepers than The Shining with the dialogue-heavy dynamic of the leads) and it doesn't skimp on the scares..

The overall feeling is that Night at the Eagle Inn falls somewhere between a Twilight Zone story and The Innkeepers, and as such makes for a very easy and enjoyable watch.

Interesting concept that's a little different from the standard "haunted house" storyline, but took a while to get there and the journey was not particularly pleasant for the viewer. Thank you to the movie makers for keeping this as short as it needed to be - 70 mins is about right. There is a massive gap between critic reviews and audience reviews - both are extreme - somewhere in the middle is the truth.

This film plays with convention and does it really well. You can say that there are scary moments in this film, mainly cheap jump scares. But when you accept the convention and start playing with the characters of the film, you will not regret it.

It’s far from a perfect movie but as far as independent horror goes it was well worth a watch and held my interest from start to finish. My main issue was the casting of the innkeeper and that god awful attempt at some weird accent. Not sure whose idea that was but wtf was that lol. But it wasn’t just the accent, his acting and character just stood out from the rest of the production as being lesser than. I just feel like, had they casted that part better, it would have been a significantly better movie
