Despite being well into adulthood, brothers Doug (Chris Kattan) and Steve Butabi (Will Ferrell) still live at home and work in the flower shop owned by their dad (Dan Hedaya). They exist only to hit on women at discos, though they're routinely unsuccessful until a chance run-in with Richard Grieco (Richard Grieco) gets them inside the swank Roxbury club. Mistaken for high rollers, they meet their dream women, Vivica (Gigi Rice) and Cambi (Elisa Donovan), and resolve to open a club of their own.

…the whole package feels like it’s been in a retro time-capsule yet still comes up box fresh. Sure, it’s a silly, lightweight film that plays like the extended SNL sketch that it is, but who cares? Sometimes a little light relief is in order…

“A spoiled child tryna fit in at the fanciest club chasing the bougiest chicks only to find a life lesson out of it”- Its Silly, entertaining and nostalgic! This movie speaks directly to naive male mindset of a young man growing up in the 90’s. Don’t expect Romeo and Juliet, lower expectations and have fun!!!

This movie makes me laugh so much I replay it constantly as a soundtrack while driving. I don't know what was up the critics' butts giving it such a low rating. It's a broad comedy but has a surprising amount of heart for what it is. And the one-liners are to die for...e.g. Doug: "You can't steal our dreams!" Steve: "Yeah, 'cause we're like sleeping while we have them!"

Funny in 1 hour and 21 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Saw this when originally released in theatres while travelling in CA. To this day it’s the only time I’ve walked out of a cinema in the middle of a film. As a general lover of vapid and lightweight nonsense I remember nothing but cringeworthy tedium.

Synopsis
