I have to say, it's nice watching Joe Bob Briggs Last Drive In Theater. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have even known about Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (also known as Night Warning). Which surprises me because I'm a fan of Susan Tyrrell. She plays crazy really well. You get a twist ending, an aunt and nephew way too close for comfort, and a homophobic cop. I remember my Brother was only allowed to hire an NRC rated video, when our older Brother and I were able to get an M each. This should have been a fucking R rated movie! It absolutely shat on whatever my older brother and I hired. In fact, we kept quiet when our Mother came out to the nearby kitchen during viewing, so as not to cause her to ' have a quick look.'

An irresistibly twisted performance from Susan Tyrrell makes this an indispensable movie for fans of 80's slasher horror. Although the crazed, overprotective mother theme has been tried before and several times after, this one stands out for its unique approach to just how deep that maternal insanity can go.

The handsome Jimmy McNichol as 17-year-old Billy is an 80's male beauty in the midst of this bizzare retelling of the Oedipus myth. If you loved the sequel to Nightmare on Elm Street, you are going to eat this right up! A gorgeous male version of the "final girl"!
