Lou Lumenick Bergen Record (New Jersey) Night Zoo holds the interest because of the tension between its utterly incongruous elements... Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 21, 2024 Full Review Elizabeth Pincus Gay Community News (Boston) The movie’s visuals are lovely, in a desolate urban way, but the actions are continually aloof and vicious. Aug 26, 2022 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) Perversely encourages itself every time there's chants of murder or violation. When it gets sentimental it is beyond boring. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member THIS won "Best Picture" at the Genies? what a load of shit. This film is a massive turd. Exploitative sex scenes, turgid dialogue and the most inane climax I can recall. Seriously, this film plays like a parody of Frech art films. I reiterate, anyone who claims to love this film is a twat. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Tout simplement magnifique Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Pour la scene du canot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Well, I am disappointed. The fact is that I thought Un zoo la nuit would be as magic as Léolo (which is the greatest Quebec movie, to my opinion). It is not. But, Jean-Claude Lauzon's first movie is really good. It is about the relationship between a man and his father. The relation between the two protagonists is, for me, the most interesting element of the movie. Far from being bad. Far from Léolo.
