don s A low end martial arts movie with the premise that after a nuclear holocaust, ninjas, much like cockroaches, will be among the first to venture back onto the surface and begin reestablishing society. There are 6 clans under the umbrella of the Grandmaster, who calls their leaders to a summit to in order to have them band together to face a common enemy. Someone assassinates the Grandmaster. A band of outcasts called the Lost Clan get the blame. The movie essentially is the journey of this clan to leave the nuclear bunker, 100 stories deep into the earth, and return to their village. Dull martial arts action, zombies, bad acting and ninja "superpowers" (each clan has its own shtick) coalesce into a campy, utterly predictable, mostly uninteresting mess. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Dark, grey, grim, and lacking. The effects are typical for a low budget movie, while the plot is weird but not exciting. Some nasty gore, dull dialog, and generic cliched twists. The action doesn't stand out, even with the poor characters. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member 1 part street fighter, 1 part Mortal Kombat TV show, 1 part Walking Dead. But the zombies don't show up til an hour in. How do the main group have superpowers akin to Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter but don't use them except to show up that they gave them Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Ninja Apocalypse is so bad that it's good. It has that Saturday night Syfy channel quality to it, but it also answers the age old question...what if Walter Hills The Warriors was actually about ninjas? The answer is that it would be a pretty damn funny movie albeit unintentionally or is it really just intentional at this point since bad movies are becoming good movies every now and then. Let's run down the list of awesome that is contained in this piece of horribleness: 1) Magic powers 2) Zombies 3) White guys playing ninja 4) Ninjas driving jeeps 5) Lines like, "Don't protect us. Respect us." 6) An actor so over the top that even the other actors in the scene don't know how to react. There's a lot more that's just fun in this film and seriously, it is awful, but if you're like me and you derive pleasure from driveling nonsense such as this then you might enjoy it.
