Claudio C Bedoone Emza / No Date, No Signature (2017) An Incoherent and Senseless Doctor (12,042 – 06 Nov 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) While driving on the road, a reckless driver cuts the forensic Dr. Kaveh Nariman (Amir Aghaee) off and he causes a minor accident with a motorcycle, and the driver Moosa (Navid Mohammadzadeh), his wife Leila (Zakieh Behbahani) and their two children fall on the floor. Dr. Nariman insists on taking the family to the hospital, but Moose refuses and accepts money to fix his motorcycle. On the next day, Dr. Nariman sees the boy in the morgue and asks his friend, Dr. Sayeh Behbahani (Hediyeh Tehrani), to perform the autopsy but omits the accident. Dr. Behbahani concludes it was botulism and Leila blames Moosa, who bought spoiled meat for a low price for his family. The autopsy results in a tragedy and Dr. Nariman questions the autopsy. “Bedoone Emza”, a.k.a. “No Date, No Signature” (2017), is an Iranian movie about an incoherent and senseless forensic doctor. The protagonist, Dr. Kaveh Nariman, accidentally causes an accident and insists on taking the family to the hospital. The driver Moosa refuses and pass through the hospital. When the boy is in the morgue, he does not tell the truth to his friend Dr. Sayeh Behbahani, who performs a general autopsy and realizes that the boy died of botulism. Some days later, he questions his friend and asks for an exhumation of the boy, He also performs the autopsy alone, instead of leaving the responsibility with a colleague. Therefore, the protagonist is an insecure and obnoxious man. But the film is good, despite the flawed Dr. Kaveh Nariman. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil): “Sem Data, Sem Assinatura” (“No Date, No Signature”) My Blog: https://maniacosporfilme.wordpress.com/ Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/06/25 Full Review Eric P Humanistic cinema, like from the brothers Dardenne. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Audience Member Powerful and intense Iranian film which kept me engaged throughout. Fine acting with loads of realism here. I thought the surprise ending was somewhat implausible but if you like complicated and absorbing foreign dramas, you may very well like this one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Like most great Iranian films, an intriguing premise laced with social commentary. Nobody does hopelessness like Iran.
