Audience Member hot damn, I finally got to watch this movie. It is excellent. Mr. Roth plays an underdog, sweet and you will be in total love with him before he walks out the prison gates. The whole movie you are rooting for him to get a break! I LOVED IT! It was so worth all the crap i went through to access it. Though an interesting film for sure, some parts I felt; were a bit draggy, but nonetheless it was pretty good. The acting was solid, and the story was alright. It really shows how a relationship could be really messed up and just plain awful. The first part of the film just definitely reels you in with interest. Perhaps an average kind of film for the most part, but it is really something. Good measure on the blood near the end as well. Overall, not a bad flick and an adequately decent watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic character study and crime film by the much neglected Giovinazzo. Roth is great as the "slow" ex-con who used to be much smarter before an "accident" (very similar to The Lookout) while Russo in just as good as his slimy brother with a guilty conscience. Though it's not a masterpiece like Giovinazzo's other 2 films, it's still necessary viewing for fans of his work. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member This was a great film, but predictable. You can guess the storyline very early on in the film but its still a great watch. Tim Roth is again brilliant. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I quite enjoyed this movie, Tim roth was excellent! Although it is quite a slow paced movie it keeps you interested as to what really happened and whats going to happen, although the story is a little bit predictable theres other things that surprise you! Tim Roth plays an ex con who doesnt seem like the killing and is really emthursiactic about getting a job and making a life for himself! but not everything seems right and his brother soon shows is true colours! The ending however was a bit disappointing! a bit unanswered and should have been better!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member An extremely powerful and strong piece of filmmaking that really shows the extreme reality of what it means to be involved in such a shady underground world and how it's toll on relationships can be mindshattering.
