Saibal Chatterjee NDTV A little more consistency and clarity in character development and narrative logic would have made Noblemen more accessible. Be that as it may, this film could rank among the most audacious Shakespeare adaptations ever attempted in this country. Jul 16, 2020 Full Review Devesh Sharma Filmfare Watch the film to come to terms with a taboo subject that needs to be talked about more. Let's hope the film starts a debate about it. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 16, 2019 Full Review Siddhant Adlakha Slashfilm [Vandana] Kataria's Noblemen, while largely withheld to a point of minimalism, bursts sporadically with an unsettling energy as it explores the circumstances in which monsters create more monsters. Jul 16, 2019 Full Review Sreeparna Sengupta The Times of India Noblemen addresses school bullying head on - and gives a very graphic picture of just how brutal it can get. Rated: 3/5 Jul 16, 2019 Full Review Nandini Ramnath Scroll.in The 110-minute movie makes many important points about the foundations of toxic male behaviour and the homophobia that lurks in the corridors of schools. Audience Member Absolutely brilliant film! Thousand times better than Slumdog Millionaire! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Straight up a bad movie. The main character is so unlikeable that even when all the horrible things happen to him, he still finds a way to be absolutely horrible. I expected so much more from this film. The movie attempts to subvert expectations in a smart and mysterious way but it completely fails. Utterly disappointing. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Spoiler alert: This movie had so much potential but the main character's motives are ultimately not believable and not sympathetic. A better motive for his final actions would be to have him be angry at the teacher for rejecting his advances, which would better set up and explain his ultimate act of revenge, in keeping with The Merchant of Venice theme. So many missed opportunities with what each character was struggling with that could have been fleshed out. This could have been such a better movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/20 Full Review Audience Member I have to see this movie in terms of the Bollywood schlock that I usually find on Netflix. In that respect, this film is an honest attempt at being realistic, especially in its attempts to portray the bullying and a young man's conflicting emotional responses to his emerging homosexuality. But the film still suffers from too much Hallmark-card like sentimentality, exaggerated acting, and, except for the ending pool scene, formula events that are predictable, bland, or just naive. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member It felt extremely rushed -- exactly the kind of mistake GoT creators did with Daenerys's character arc. If it was to end in fire, at least see the fire consume Shy. I felt like the gravitas of the situation just didn't justify the actions of the protagonist in the end. It felt unfulfilling. The idea was, however, genuine and fresh, but they lacked execution. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member waste waste waste just fucking waste of time the most worst movie which i ever saw really this movie sucks means he killed the faculty that helped him that he risked his own life omg what a dick Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
