Jessica Kiang Variety Opposing impulses - sweet and sinister - sometimes threaten to break the film apart, but Garcia's performance always pulls the two halves back together. Jun 26, 2020 Full Review Eric Kohn indieWire It all comes down to a mournful gaze, and the simmering rage visible just beneath it. Justin V a beautiful story, filmed in a beautiful location about how childhood trauma can dominate your life as an adult. very human. very sad. all around very good. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review R 9 Pretty good, I was into 'Nobody Knows I'm Here'. I wouldn't class it as anything spectacular, though I thought it did a solid job at bringing its story to life. There's a strong lead performance from Jorge Garcia as Memo; a character that kept giving me Quasimodo of 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' vibes, but perhaps that's just a lazy comparison on my part. He has a nice musical number too. All in all, though not perfect or anything close, this produced what I wanted it to so I'm personally happy with it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/11/23 Full Review John N I really liked this one. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/22/23 Full Review Daniel G A modern fable, sort of a Cinderella-story. Though slow paced, the scenery of southern Chile is remarkable, and though it seems that only one song is played, the way it's performed at various moments, especially at the finale, is remarkable. Jorge Garcia did an excellent job portraying the damaged protagonist who does get his last laugh. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/01/22 Full Review Audience Member Memo, with introverted feeling, is wonderful to watch. How emotions are portrayed without words. There are a few scenes that are a bit obvious, which lowered it for me, creating links that were already obvious (like showing the childhood passport to link the present day Memo to the child Memo), but I loved the quiet introversion of the film, a joy to watch.
