Buford (Gary Oldman) and Billy (Skeet Ulrich) are childhood friends who have been sentenced to prison, where they are about to be separated. They manage to bust their way out, going in opposite directions with a plan to meet up again in Utah. On the way, Billy stumbles across a car accident and manages to rescue a baby from the doomed vehicle, which endears him to a waitress (Radha Mitchell). They form a makeshift family around the baby -- to the frustration of Buford when he later finds them.

A witless script wrings few laughs from its retread conceits, but it too often doesn't even try. Go to Full Review

Moves uneasily between comedy, drama and thriller. Oldman is the film's downpoint. Go to Full Review

If you like your movies described as "quirky" and "kinda weird", here's a not-awful dark comedy that at the very least, offers one enjoyably bizarre cast. Go to Full Review

Heartwarming ending but enough silliness throughout. See more isla s 09/04/2022 This is an amusing and (sometimes) light hearted film I enjoyed. The characters are perhaps a little corny and there are cliches present but I didn't feel it was horrendously offensive and I liked that the main character clearly had a bond with the young child and tried to do good by him/her. This is very much a bumbling buffoon type film, with the two main characters clearly not being the, shall I say, brightest buttons in the box. Its an easy, basic watch with mainly visual comedy present, its neither really bad nor especially good but I suppose overall I'd recommend it, if there's nothing else on, its an easy watch which might make you laugh a few times, so whats not to like?. See more steve d 07/02/2020 Sometimes amusing because of the cast, but they aren't given a lot to work with. See more 05/23/2014 I wasn't expecting much from this but it was actually pretty good. It's one of those tasteless, dark comedies, with loser characters and goofball situations; following two escaped cons who try to make money off of an orphaned infant that one of them rescues from a fatal accident. Skeet Ulrich plays the slightly more intelligent of the two, I wish he would get more roles I always enjoy him and while I couldn't stand Gary Oldman's character (and may never be able to use Chapstick again) he does an amazing job here, almost unrecognizable. Good supporting cast too and a fun story. 05.23.14 See more Read all reviews
