Critics Consensus

The always charming Anna Kendrick does her best, but Noelle's progressive take on a timeless tale is unfortunately subdued.

You'll have forgotten every last thing about Noelle by next Christmas, but that's almost a plus side to its flimsy charm - those baubles won't put themselves up. Go to Full Review

Over all, Noelle is subpar - but it's silly, harmless fun. It's so forgettable it'll be virtually erased from your memory five minutes after the end credits roll. Go to Full Review

Whatever your idea of a sentimental connect-the-dots Christmas comedy is, this is sub that. Go to Full Review

Noelle is pleasant to watch, but is almost exclusively dependent on the heaping amount of charm that Anna Kendrick brings to the table. Go to Full Review

Amanda M @maka132 2d Amazing!!! Idk why it’s rated so low. Seriously such a great pick-me-up around the holiday season!!! See more guglielmo d 2d I don't understand the bad ratings... It's a good quality original movie and I loved it I've seen it multiple times over. Still will watch it again. I mean it is not up there with the great but come on it's good. See more Jeff P Nov 28 It’s nothing like elf and it’s its own movie entirely See more Ryan V. @AZRYNO Nov 25 Almost seemed like an Elf rip off. Very forgettable movie. See more Raynie D Nov 24 Im telling you NOW the ONLY reason this isn't in the 60s-70 range is because it's a female that happens to be santa. This is an adorable movie. It reminds me of elf but more modern. The people HATING the movie are just men who prob got angry that a woman took over. It all made sense and it was lovely. A MUST show for little girls and little boys will love this too. As long as you don't have a mean overbearing husband in the room everyone will love this movie. See more Laura H Nov 24 Look, it’s a family friendly Christmas movie and it delivers. They’re not going for an Oscar. Charming but not cheesy, good jokes, positive messages, and it’s a Christmas movie you can watch with your kids without all the unnecessary "doubting if Santa is real" that is weirdly the plot line of most kid Christmas movies. Bonus is that there’s a scene where the terrible looking strip mall Santa actually is Santa. See more Read all reviews
