Leslie Felperin Guardian Ultimately this feels a bit too much like one long advertisement for the restaurant and misses an opportunity to develop a more probing thesis ... Rated: 2/5 Jun 9, 2016 Full Review Soren Andersen Seattle Times The end result is a revealing portrait of an artist wholly dedicated to his art. Rated: 3/4 Jan 7, 2016 Full Review Kimber Myers The Playlist "Noma: My Perfect Storm" is crafted with exquisite care in the vein of its subject, though it occasionally feels overly precious. Rated: B+ Dec 18, 2015 Full Review Elissa Suh StageBuddy.com Deschamp's restraint and preponderance for stripping away words and explanation renders My Perfect Storm an elusive documentary with snobbish airs. Mar 16, 2020 Full Review Bernard Boo Way Too Indie Noma: My Perfect Storm doesn't reflect in its form chef Redzepi's obsession with food, which in this case turns out to be a fatal flaw. The film is too fixated on what's in his head to truly appreciate what he's making with his hands. Rated: 5/10 Feb 22, 2019 Full Review Charles Mudede The Stranger (Seattle, WA) The film's cinematography does its best to capture the beauty of Redzepi's dishes. The images are so stunning, it's hard to believe they are objects you put in your mouth and destroy. Aug 23, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

adam b A bit pretentious? Yes. F*****g brilliant? Absolutely. Watch this film because I never knew I could be so wowed and tranced by a restaurant documentary. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Rene comes across full of contradictions... I was full of respect and admiration for him before watching this, and was even fortunate to dine at Noma some years ago. Maybe it's just me not understanding what he and this documentary is trying to say, but to me it's just needless deep philosophical bullshit. His ego seems to be oozing out of his ears!! Its rather insulting him calling some of his customers @rseholes when they dine at his restaurant because it was number 1, but I suspect this would be the higher percentile of customers coming through the door!!!! For someone who says he doesn't much care for the world rankings, michelin stars, the negative (racists) remarks to him as a Macedonian, etc... he comes across as though HE DOES CARE.... and seems to resist for some strange reason... out of arrogance?, ego, manliness?? Rene, you're a real talent, and I like your food, but can you please come back down to earth and start acting like a real human!!! Would I go back to your restaurant? Perhaps not, because I'm one of those @RSEHOLES!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member A documentary the revels in its main character, being Redzepi but doesnt present much more than that. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member a docu that ain't glammed up to give it a star-quality finish but one that is honest, brutal yet persuasively naïve in tone and outlook. arrogance, curiosity and perseverance are three important ingredients to succeed in this universe.
