Time Out Even Mel Brooks couldn't have improved on it: hilarious dialogue, eccentrically filmed battle scenes, Cornel Wilde and Mel Ferrer both in beards behind which to hide their embarrassment. Jan 26, 2006 Full Review TV Guide A stodgy 11th-century drama, featuring Majors in the starring role. Rated: 2/4 Apr 24, 2011 Full Review Chuck O'Leary FulvueDrive-in.com An unconvincing, stilted adventure with a very '70s looking Lee Majors cast as a Viking leading his men into the New World while searching for his missing father. A low-budget AIP cheesefest that, at least, isn't as boring as 2007's Pathfinder. Rated: 3/10 May 5, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Unfunny and unoriginal!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Hilariously awful viking film starting the Six Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors, as a viking leader who leads an intrepid crew of norsemen on a quest to the Americas to find his missing father who's been captured by Native Americans. The title card reads, "This motion picture is based on fact. As early as the year 793 A.D. a lusty horde of blond giants came out of the icy mountains of Norway to boldly sail the seas in longships. They were called Nosremen." That pretty much sets the stage for how bad this film would be. This debacle was directed by Charles B. Pierce who had some genuine cult classics under his belt, like "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" and "The Legend of Boggy Creek," but his low rent style of filmmaking is not at all suited to a costume adventure film. The movie just looks ridiculous, featuring wildly un-Norse of actors (including football player Deacon Jones) and I'm pretty sure not one genuine native actor played any of the Native American tribe members. One star for ironic enjoyment. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather static account of "Norzman" in America. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Hot combed vikings, slow motion water fights, and Sonny Bono's third wife running around in a loin cloth...who can ask for more than that? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Holy god. Charles B. Pierce's Viking film. A bunch of Viking land in america and fight a bunch of white indians. Amazing on all levels.
