David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...the picture generally comes off as an affable and perfectly watchable piece of work. But then along comes an evening vista that shows how Sunset Beach got its name, or a crash of waves that looks like a living Hokusai, and you realize summer is still very much with us. Erin M Great surfing movie…super fun and entertaining movie! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/24/24 Full Review Audience Member North Shore isn't a great movie. It's too slow for my liking, and the ending was not good. Rick giving up the tournament and leaving Keani was not what I expected in thus. Just watch Point Break instead. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member One of my favorite childhood movies. Barney Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A surprisingly fun trip through 80's Oahu. Definitely one of the best films about surfing, not that there is much to compare to. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member an entertaining 80s movie with heart; some of the best surfing scenes ever filmed Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it. Watching this with Keacy I already know it, because I know him. I can see just how much this movie shaped him. Love the art of the main character. Would love to be like that. This is how I imagined Hawaii. Locals hating on tourist. Which I want to argue with, but I wasn't fond of tourists in the same way in Nashville, but I was always nice and friendly. Only point I hated it was when they start thinking of themselves as more local than you and start correcting you? Maybe that happened a lot in Hawaii so they just get defensive to start with? Friends say it's not so bad. Hope they will be friendly if we are really to move and settle in a place I've never been to. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
