Joe D The filmmakers' hearts were in the right place, but this is a disaster on almost every level. An admirable attempt at homage that tips far into silliness. Not one creepy or menacing moment is achieved. I have nothing against artifice; I think it can sometimes add something that a completely believable and perfectly rendered image might not. But the director missed an opportunity. If he had degraded the image so that it wasn't as vivid, it would have (visually, at least) helped immensely. I often see that filmmakers fall so in love with their CGI images that they can't bring themselves to soften focus or add grain to better blend the green screen with the backgrounds. The performances were uniformly overwrought; I can't help but think the director made the bad decision of telling his actors to give big silent movie performances in a film with dialogue and sound. A bit of restraint would have gone a long way. Nearly all the principals are miscast. Even the normally fantastic Doug Jones fell into parody when his intent must have been tribute. I do give the filmmakers a lot of respect for bringing this film to completion. No film is easy to make, and the long post-production must indicate that they fought and won big battles. I expect the directors' next effort will benefit from the mistakes made here. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/22/25 Full Review Omar G Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (2023). Despite not being a big budget and with some exaggerated performances bordering on comical. It has good moments and looks elegant, it's like Sin City (2005). The best is Sarah Carter, she would be around 40 years old and can still provoke a strong sexual desire to possess her. This Graff Orlock is similar to the original, which is good for me since I prefer this design to other versions of Dracula or Orlock.
