In rural Vietnam, teenager Nham (Tạ Ngọc Bảo) works in the fields for his family alongside his sister-in-law, Ngu (Thúy Hường). Working so closely, Nham and Ngu develop an attraction to each other, and a romance develops. Enter Quyen (Lê Vân), a beautiful girl from the big city, who has returned to Nham's village where she was raised. Enticed by the novelty of the new girl, Nham begins an affair with Quyen -- to the obvious chagrin of Ngu, who grows jealous and depressed.

Marvellous and enchanting depiction of Vietnam's daily life, a forgotten land that also dreams, feels and gives birth to hope in whatever area is needed.
