William Bibbiani TheWrap Jack Quaid was born for a role like this. The actor’s unassuming cheerfulness provides the perfect comedic counterpoint to the film’s increasingly absurd gross-out action gags. Mar 8, 2025 Full Review Alonso Duralde The Film Verdict Films like this work only when all bets are off; anything less than gonzo insanity won’t do justice to the nutty premise. Directors Dan Berk and Robert Olsen clearly aspire to that level of outrageousness without ever fully committing. Mar 8, 2025 Full Review G. Allen Johnson San Francisco Chronicle “Novocaine” isn’t exactly painless to sit through. Rated: 2/4 Mar 8, 2025 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Wickedly funny, audacious and wildly entertaining. Mar 9, 2025 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix The likable action comedy Novocaine is anything but numbing. Jack Quaid delivers a knockout performance as a mild-mannered man, who can’t feel pain and who turns into a vigilante to save a kidnapped love interest. Mar 8, 2025 Full Review Fred Topel United Press International Nothing these tough guys do can faze him. Nathan is no John Wick. He is truly an average guy whose unique power is just that he keeps getting back up when he's slammed down. Mar 8, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews
