David D First of all - just because the movie content occurs at Christmas time does NOT make it a Christmas movie! The movie had too many competing threads which resulted in a shallow presentation. Whoever decided this was “prime time” should be demoted! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Gilbert W It was awful. I've never watched a movie with so many loud, obnoxious characters. The only likable character was the dog, Nugget, and he really did die at the end. Also the multiple crossings between Australia and the US were totally unbelievable. The jet lag would be brutal after a 15,000 mile, 30 hour round trip. The movie pre-empted 2 hours of my favorite CBS shows and was a total waste of my time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Stevie R Thought it was genuinely funny, in a Muriels Wedding kind of way. Laughed and cried. A fun watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Alexandra M So my view might be a bit biased because I had a dog that looked very much like nugget, and I was overtaken with tears and sadness throughout. There were moments that made me laugh. Overall, this is not a good Christmas movie because it was way too sad for me. I would have rather Nugget survived. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Katie R Two hours I’ll never get back- bad acting, unlikeable characters, the dog dies, not kid friendly subject matter, and not a Christmas story. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Janet H Didn't catch the ending..or did but it ended abruptly? Sure not a feel good Christmas movie. And the ads made it like a comedy but was not. Definitely not for children. Just weird movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Read all reviews
