The copious pleasures of the nearly three-hour journey between the first hazy-dawn images and the crackpot grand finale set in a Spanish bullfighting arena opposite a very Zangief-looking/M. Bison-attired motherf***** can’t be overstated. Go to Full Review

But the thing with building your scaffold on style and swag is that you end up skating on thin substance, and this reunion of Bharadwaj with Shahid Kapoor...is left swinging between highs and lows. Go to Full Review

Despite the scale, O’ Romeo feels like a much smaller, inert work of art. Go to Full Review

It is brooding, bloody, and beautiful in parts, but ‘O’ Romeo’ eventually turns out to be boring and burdened by the filmmaker’s reputation Go to Full Review

O'Romeo is yet another bloated, soulless cesspool of nasty violence that serves no purpose but to try to make a serial killer look like a sexy hero. This movie thinks it's clever to have a woman become his assassin accomplice, but everything is just vile. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Feb 20 O’Romeo, a 2026 foreign action film, delivers heavy action and adventure, keeping viewers engaged even when dialogue is incomprehensible. While the action sequences are compelling, relying on on-screen text to explain key plot points pulls focus and detracts from the cinematic experience. Ideally, actions should convey the story without forcing viewers to read subtitles constantly. Despite this, the film has a solid screenplay with well-choreographed fight scenes and competent performances from its cast. Its pacing occasionally feels long, typical of many international films, which may affect immersion. Overall, O’Romeo is an entertaining action piece, though not one I’d revisit, as it struggles to fully connect without linguistic context, yet remains a commendable effort for foreign action cinema, showcasing creativity and ambition in its direction and stunt work that deserves recognition even if it’s imperfect. See more arvind s @Arvind100 Feb 18 O'Romeo is a movie that is well within Vishal Bhardwaj's forte: a gangster who has a painful past, conniving policemen & politicians, a strong woman character, and an intimidating villain. The movie even starts out well, with Ustara being portrayed as a dreaded killer, who trusts his pair of shaving blades as his weapons that he uses to kill in a gravity-defying Quicksilver-esque run. His entire life changes when Tripti Dimri's character enters and then it goes down the usual, predictable path. Some of the characters that stood out were Rahul Deshpande's Inspector Pathare & Nana Patekar's Ismail Khan; both ruthless in their own ways. Vikrant Massey has too small a role, Avinash Tiwary is just ok in this and the others are just passable. The movie works for all the goings-on in Mumbai. Placing Avinash Tiwary's character in Spain just for the matador and bull references does not fit well into this Mumbai-based revenge story. See more MK Feb 15 Below the standard expected of VB films See more Danish I @Dan486 Feb 14 Great movie, vishal and shahid's collab never disappoints. Movie had superb first half and it keep audience engaged. Although second half felt not as much good still there were some scenes which were totally unexpected, such as train scene, can't tell due to spoiler. Shahid's and Nana's chemistry was so damn good, we def needed more of them. Cameo characters felt like big names weren't needed like any unknown actor also could have pulled it but by then end of movie all were justified tamana, vikrant , farida jalal, and other. Great acting by everyone , even ankit tiwari's character was not good written still he managed by his good acting, speaking of ending, climax and last villain fight were the weakest points of movie. overall it was a fun entertainer and massy movie. banger for one time, and few people can see it twice like me but i don't think anyone will watch it thrice.
