On 10th & 11th August 1996, 250,000 young music fans converged on Knebworth Park to see Oasis play two record breaking, era defining shows. The landmark concerts sold out in under a day with over 2% of the UK population attempting to buy tickets. This was a time when the UK was slowly recovering from a decade of recession. A surging confidence in arts and culture ushered in Cool Britannia and Oasis meteoric rise reflected the country's new found conviction and swagger. Featuring a setlist packed from beginning to end with stone cold classics, including Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger, the Knebworth concerts were both the pinnacle of the band's success and the landmark gathering for a generation. Oasis Knebworth 1996 is the story of that weekend and the special relationship between Oasis and their fans that made it possible. It is told through the eyes of the fans who were there, with additional interviews with the band and concert organizers. Directed by Jake Scott from extensive concert and exclusive never before seen footage, this is a joyful and at times poignant cinematic celebration of one of the most important concert events of the last 25 years.

Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle Having directed the video for Oasis' "Morning Glory" single, Scott's arguably the perfect choice to distill the meaning of those nights. May 15, 2022 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) At best, it's a sweetly recorded live album, sprinkled with sycophants and some choice soundbites from Noel Gallagher repeatedly declaring Oasis one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Rated: 2/5 Sep 24, 2021 Full Review Lou Thomas Little White Lies Essential for anyone who was there or wanted to be. Fun for everyone else. Rated: 4/5 Sep 23, 2021 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast [The film] turns back the clocks and puts you in the front row of the show. There is no looking back in anger, just evidence of Rock N Roll Stars at their zenith. Proof that the legacy of those two crazy nights... will Live Forever. Rated: 4/5 Nov 12, 2022 Full Review Victoria Luxford City AM Supersonic and Live Forever chronicled the era, but Oasis Knebworth 96 is interested in feelings, not facts. It wants to put you in the field with young people having the time of their life, play the tunes you know by heart, and fill you with nostalgia. Rated: 4/5 Mar 3, 2022 Full Review Christopher Schobert The Film Stage This is both the most satisfying film about the sadly departed band and the one that most adroitly captures their era. It's also the one that best understands what made Oasis so enormously popular. Rated: A- Dec 14, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
