In the year 2077, Jack Harper works as a security repairman on an Earth left empty and devastated after a war with aliens. Jack has two weeks left before his mission ends and he joins his fellow survivors on a faraway colony. However, Jack's concept of reality comes crashing down after he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. The woman's arrival triggers a chain of events that culminates in Jack's nearly single-handed battle to save mankind.

The amount of times the lady characters say “Jack” and just don’t finish their sentences is innumerable. One or two times is tolerable, but my God is it overused. Jack in question has the aim of a stormtrooper and Sally’s accent is a downright shame. Since when did the drones have feelings, as well? Nothing in the movie was left for the audience to infer or figure out; we were hand-fed a thought process. Vika’s betrayal seemed unwarranted with how little reason is given.

I like a good sci-fi, but I simply couldn't get into it. Even sci-fi has to have an element of credibility and e.g. the gravity defying, bare, minimalist home in the sky - with a swimming pool - was a stretch too far.
