In trouble in 1848 Los Angeles, Larry Stockton (Henry Brandon) sends for help from his brother Bill (William Elliott), but by the time Bill and his friend Sam Bowie (Andy Devine) arrive, it's too late: Larry has already been killed by the local bandits.
