Peter Bradshaw Guardian A flawed, indulgent but impressive picture along very familiar lines - another wildly boozy knees-up with splashes of magic realism and tragedy, here garnished with CGI. Rated: 3/5 Oct 14, 2016 Full Review Jessica Kiang The Playlist The film's real failure, that the smokescreen of busyness cannot conceal, is its utter vacuity. Rated: C- Sep 17, 2016 Full Review Jay Weissberg Variety "Milky" reinforces Kusturica's leap from magical realism into the territory of exaggerated phoniness. Sep 11, 2016 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com Kusturica prizes style over substance and dismisses any sense of cohesiveness in his latest, which prattles on through vague chunks of character exposition. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 23, 2019 Full Review Carlos Marañón Cinemanía (Spain) Balkan, resentful and happy, Kusturica returns with more love than hatred. Audience Member En la Via Láctea [2016] Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Literally the worst Serbian film I've ever seen. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Un dramma? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Emir had the pleasure of fantasizing with Monica and Sloboda. And that would be the movie, bad, but it seems a homage to itself, or a biggest hits. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member After the Serbs commited genocide in Bosnia, biggest in Europe after Nazis, Bosnian-orthodox Serb government did everything possible to change their fascistic image in the world and invested a lot in making propaganda movies like this one. This movie is a pathetic attempt to present Serbs as the victims who still hope that their neighbouring nations and the world will change the opinion about them whilst using the convenient islamophobic times, broke Kusturica and fallen Belluci. Instead of making art, Kusturica became a Himmler of occupied (Serb-controlled) parts of Bosnia producing obvious propaganda. It was a disgusting and unethical response to brilliant Angelina Jolie's movie "In the land of honey and milk". Watching this movie is like watching Nazis trying to tell us that harm was actually done to them... of course all camouflaged as an unfortunate life of one Serb that we should cry about. Shameful and on the compost side of the history. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
