Audience Member On Tour screened in competition at Cannes in 2010and winning best director for Mathieu Amalric. Even though the film was entertaining and fun to watch this film should have screened out of competition, the film did not offer much of a story to make it more interesting the film is pale compared to all the other films in the competition. The film has charm the female cast were a joy to watch but that was about it just fun and charming but lacks meaning and could have used more interesting characters to make more meaningful. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This is nice slow burner but doesnt really go anywhere. BUT the old burlesque stars are an entertaining bunch and the venues are totally sleezy. File under interesting Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Should you, one day, encounter the opportunity to watch this, don't miss it. And I don't mean only to watch Mathieu Amalric... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member hm, not so good that I had hoped - loose ends here and there, some nice ideas Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting story about a show enterpreneur (Joaquim Zand) but more than that a typical loser. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Véritable ode à la vie, très beau Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Chris Darke Sight & Sound While On Tour settles a little too easily in conclusion for the troupe-as-one-big-family clich... the film's engaging confidence and inclusive good nature prove [Mathieu Amalric]'s worth watching both as an actor and a director. Jul 10, 2018 Full Review Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle [Amalric gives] us the flavor of life on tour - the sudden connections and unexpected intimacies that occur when very different people are thrown together. Apr 22, 2011 Full Review Jason Wood Little White Lies An immediate and thrilling experience. Rated: 4/5 Dec 10, 2010 Full Review Dorothy Woodend The Tyee (British Columbia) With its semi-improvised feel, On Tour often feels like a series of episodes, strung like beads on a string. Each one is a perfectly small perfect bijoux, but collected together, they begin to create genuine and tattered glamour. Aug 22, 2017 Full Review Jeremy Heilman MovieMartyr.com On Tour offers a series of passing pleasures but fails to cohere into a meaningful whole. Rated: 44/100 Jul 20, 2011 Full Review Fernando F. Croce House Next Door A likably rambling survey of ephemeral community, a portrait of the artist as washed-up family man and pimp, and a quasi-documentary about brassy stage persona.
