Antonio (Vincenzo Amato) is an illegal immigrant working at a restaurant in New York City. When he meets Ellen (Jessica Whitney Gould), who is about to relocate to Paris, he is smitten and becomes focused on keeping her in New York. Meanwhile Antonio's buddy Apu (Ajay Naidu) is having his own romantic problems. While preparing to meet the Indian woman his family has arranged for him to marry, Apu is struggling with the reality that he would like to be with a woman who has modern sensibilities.
