If you liked Chapter One you may still want to see how the story ends. Just don’t expect this to go the extra mile. Go to Full Review

Despite a potentially thrilling premise, One Mile: Chapter Two is a forgettable end to the Ryan Phillippe two-part action film series. Go to Full Review

Christian M @MaximusComment 2d Two is definitely even worse than One. The script and writing is so unintelligent. First, why is the compound not raided after the first movie and they happily live on. Second, he is a special forces veteran but does not bring an Arsenal of weapons and just kills all, no the just beats them unconscious so they come back again and again. Third, he walks in with hands-up twice, the boss cold-blooded shoots his foster kid and potential successor, but nobody shoots the hero? Why? Bang, gone … but no, the villains talk and talk until they get shot - so dumb. Fourth, the boss villain is so untouchable that nobody dares to challenge him and all do every stupid thing he says. Five, the hero builds all sort of traps in a barn, like "Kevin home alone" instead of bringing proper weapons, as said earlier. As a special forces, he comes prepared life a dumb school boy to an extraction of his most important person in life, so dumb. See more Pmc E @Pmc123 2d The evil cult of Evil Men™ returns, after not being raided by the police after the events of the first movie for some reason. Once again the girl is kidnapped by EEVIL men (who STILL HAVEN'T EQUIPPED FIREARMS), and the male "hero" has to murder them all to save her. In other words standard male on male hostility propaganda, kill men to save women. The most egregious part here, though, is that the male character spells out verbatim what the message of the movie is: during the final confrontation with the Boss of Evil Men, he outright says the words "protect and provide" when referring to his "duty" towards his wife and daughter, driving home that men must be slaves to women. They couldn't have made it more obvious if they tried. See more Marco L @decatur555 Aug 8 One Mile: Chapter Two is exactly the sequel the ending of the first film promised: more Ryan Phillippe, more survival action and more of the same fanatical community. It is repetitive and less emotionally engaging than Chapter One, but sometimes a simple action movie is precisely what you want when you just need to switch off. Phillippe remains convincing as a grounded action hero, while Amélie Hoeferle again gives Alex more personality than the usual kidnapped-daughter role. The biggest change is C. Thomas Howell, who gets much more screen time and continues the fascinating second half of his career playing increasingly unstable and psychotic characters. The pacing could be stronger and the final confrontation is underwhelming, but it remains an easy, reasonably effective piece of action entertainment. Must be the only operator that doesn't call any of their friends and doesn't have a weapons cache. Some of the lines jar as they don't make any sense in terms of timeline, and for god's sake get your lighting together thought they would of corrected that in the second one but noooo must shine light on Ryan when in the forest, fire good, light good! See more Arthur R @RT88125953 May 11 Ok, so we've now gone to a hybrid of Taken, John Wick and somehow, a less deadly Home Alone rip-off. Chapter one was passable, this one is not. The performances are equally bad, but the story here is just bland and never delivers anything like the payoff that seems to be building throughout. Lets hope there's no more sequels... what would come after seven mile? Lets just close the book on this one See more Trenton S @RT08953582 Apr 20 Part two is kind of ridiculous. The writer has to give us more credit than this. For one thing, this is the first high level military operator that I've seen in a movie, that when things get bad, he only has one hand gun. Years in the military and he has no trunk with any automatic weapons, long guns, vest, flash grenades, nothing. Just one gun and a man bag. Also, he just met with his military buddy about a job. Yet you don't call him for help when your daughter gets taken? See more Read all reviews
