11/28/2020 Open has a very interesting story about, obviously, open relationship in modern Filipino society. This is not totally a romance film if you're expecting it but this is more on drama and relationship genre. JC Santos and Arci Munoz take the lead acting performances in this film and both were commendable for their compelling act as a modern Filipino couple troubled with boring relationship and dilemma. Most the scenarios and takeaway lessons from the film were set in dated time and current issues that young couples face nowadays. Perhaps the waterloo of Open to be a memorable movie about relationship was its predictability of where this story will end knowing that stories about open relationship always highlighted as negative and destructible in nature. Santos and Munoz's superb acting saved Open to be a decent film but overall it didn't serve us something new or innovative in Filipino films about open relationship. See more Read all reviews
