Bernard U Wooden acting..uniforms totally out of wack. The whole look of the film just had WW2 enthusiast's playing war games with a nag script.Done on the cheap and it shows Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/04/22 Full Review Audience Member Films this poor need to be funny, intentionally or not. Operation Dunkirk can't even manage this. It has the look and feel of a film made using another films props when the grown ups had finished for the day. The cinematography and the editing are solid, but the plot and dialogue are worthy only of derision. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is dreadful. It is historically inaccurate to the point of being almost entirely fictitious. The acting is poor and the idea of members of the Parachute regiment being in France in 1940 is absurd, it was not founded until the autumn of 1942. Also Radar was already well established in GB and the French contribution was provided as an enhancement of the magneton being experimented with. A French scientist provided the magnetron that they had developed to the British at the GEC factory in Wembley in 1940. The film is a total load of codswallop. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm only 5 minutes in and I can't take the poor uniforms. This is WWII. British army. They would not have US helmets. The officer is wearing the wrong coloured gaiters and he has them on backwards. Wtf? Also the haircuts that don't exist.... such a shame that history can't be told properly. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Where to start - the awfulness was everywhere. Wrong-period jeep (1960s) and trucks; german troops riding in very recent US army trucks, incorrect uniforms (SS officer collar tabs - one missing, so you could see the underlying velcro fastening) - very Wallace and Grommit ("The Wrong Trousers"). The doctor's "hot tong" Hollywood hairdo. The actors tried I guess, but they looked as convincing as a bunch of weekend warriors playing paintball. Katherine Tate's "Nan" character would have the words I cannot say here - "What a pile of SH**" Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This is actually made me want to review a movie for the first time ever. Being a fan of war movies, I immediately knew I was going to hate this movie from the very beginning. Wasted my time on this crappy, laughable and amateurish rubbish. I can't even grasp what the fuck is going on. Effects are shit, actors are bad, even the plot is so stupid that I didn't finish it. "Director" Nick Lyon should really stop making movies.
