Smarter than the average teen movie, but a little on the unmemorable side.

Arik S I think this story can relate to us all. Everyone has had a moment in their lives that influenced who they have become. We all have friends and family in our lives that are just a bit dysfunctional. This is a story about. A young man finding who he is in a much funnier enjoyable way than anything you can read in catcher in the rye. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/08/23 Full Review Michael K Funny suburbia meets the classic Chevy Chase style with plenty of twists and turns A great blockbuster rental. 🍿 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Here’s a wild and crazy concept: the high school counselor calls the Stanford admissions department and says, “we sent you the wrong student’s transcript.” Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/02/21 Full Review Rocio P A very fun and funny film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/04/21 Full Review Audience Member Probably best as a time capsule to return current viewers back to their coming of age around the turn of the century Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Typical teenager movie that is for the ages of 18 and under, this movie didn't have any relevant new thing or idea that we won't see in another movie about a teenager wanting to go to college! Yes, he ends up not going to college and appreciates his family which is nice, can't say it isn't but not something new or creative from this type of movie! Nell Minow Common Sense Media Stupid movie pushes boundaries of PG-13. Rated: 2/5 Dec 26, 2010 Full Review Todd McCarthy Variety [Kasdan] and White aim very low here and fail to take advantage of the abundant opportunities for social satire that its upper class and academic settings provide. Aug 6, 2008 Full Review Danny Graydon Empire Magazine With minimal gross-out quota, Kasdan's sure-footed approach mixes a teen farce and a morality tale. Rated: 4/5 Dec 30, 2006 Full Review Cory Woodroof 615 Film A pristine coming-of-age tale and the *exact* movie every writer in their teens should watch before they go out and embark on the craft.
