Eddie Harrison film-authority.com Ordeal by Jazz would be a better title for this wintery Agatha Christie adaptation... Rated: 3/5 Feb 24, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

D Y. Apart from loving Donald Sutherland I thought it was an average movie. Unlike others I’ve read, I throughly loved the music. I felt it was perfect for the setting. It I followed the book much better than the mini series. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/04/25 Full Review Allan H And you get to see the younger Annette Crosbie, although not that young. Lack of subtitles from Prime Video, low-voiced dialogue does not help. Annoying mumbling, otherwise good cast, good premise. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/23/25 Full Review Steve D A fairly good adaptation of one of the lesser books. Sutherland is great however. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/07/23 Full Review Audience Member PiITIFUL--Set in 1954 - wtittenby someone who knows nothing about Agatha Christie' or the era. I've nothing against swearing, but to put this in a 1950's period piece,is completely ridiculous. I was just waiting for a punk to appear and rap to be played in the background. I feel very very sorry that these excellent actors were put through this ordeal. Formulaic- you bet your life it is . The Telegraph gave it 4 stars and the Guardian 5 stars . Presumably out of 5 ???????. To prove I'm very comfortable with swearing --it's SHIT. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Great jazz, sinister film noir, unpredictable plot...and thoroughly memorable. One of my top 5 of all time. Leaves one with the question... Is finding justice always right and good? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member a good agatha christie adaptation let down by the jazzy music.
