Darren M Inspirational survival in the Canadian north Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/14 Full Review Audience Member Ordeal In The Arctic is a harrowing real life drama. This film recount a crash that occurred in 1991 when a CC-130 Hercules transport Plane crashed near CFS Alert in the high Arctic. Well acted with a good cast, Ordeal In The Arctic is one of the best Canadian films that I've seen. The film is not an electrifying, action packed film. This is a story about survival, and it's a truly captivating film about this ordeal. The actors are great in their roles, and you feel as if you know what they're going through. For a TV movie, Ordeal In The Arctic is a well made little film that is a must see drama film. This is not the type of film for a viewer expecting great thrills, and action, but is a film for people who enjoy real life survival stories. Ordeal In The Arctic is a well made film that shows the courage of the what people will do to survive. If you get a chance to see this film, you won't regret it. This a realistic true story that is simply incredible. Having this film a few years back, I personally think it's one of the best made for TV films. Some people may complain that it's not gripping or electrifying, but honestly, they couldn't be more far from the truth. This film presents the facts, as it happened without over doing the drama, which in my opinion gives this film a great sense of respect to those who died and survived in this horrible crash. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review don s This disaster movie has little tension or action and lots of talking heads. The acting is passable, though the production value is on the lines of a television movie. This is a mediocre movie that is worth watching once.
